1996-1997

  • Summer 1996 marketing research "Potential development of ecological tourism in Strandja mountain", financed by Bulgarian Society for Education and Environment.
  • 15.08.96 Malko Tarnovo city: seminar "Municipality role for development of rural tourism" with Regional Forestry Department, National Park "Strandja" and with participation of mayor of Momchilovtzi village - Dora Yankova
  • february 1997 survey "Touristic resources in Malko Tarnovo community", financed by Open Society - Bourgas.
  • 04.04.97 discussion "Potential development of ecological tourism in Strandja mountain" during "Days of National Park Strandja in Bourgas".
  • 28.08.97 near village Balgari, BAERT, Bourgas Regional Tourist Chamber and Regional Forestry Department, organize practical seminar: "Potential for ritual and pilgrimal tourism". The participants announced establishing of Center for sustainable tourism".
  • 16.11.97 BAERT had selected a group of students who had prepared first celebration of International Day of Tolerance in Bourgas.

1998-2000

  • 1998 and beginning of 1999 studies on "Green Tourism" project, financed by the same organization.
  • 1998-2000 studies according to a contract with The British Council - Sofia Branch for financial management of 3 projects, realized by BAERT and Tourist college teams, financed by Know-How Fund "Tourist Initiatives":
    1. Methods of planning development of tourism in community and municipality".
    2. Preparation for a tourist info-guide of Bourgas district.
    3. Regional competition "The best settlement".
  • 10.04.98 BAERT and partners organize in Tourist College regional seminar and discussion: "The Sea and The Mountains - potential for integration of sea-side resorts with mountain and rural tourism".
  • 28.08.98 BAERT with tour-operators organize a visit of tourists to Balgari village during the orthodox church celebration - St.Virgin Mary Day.
  • 06.04.99 Regional seminar in Bourgas: "Tourist market - planning and ecology matters" During this event BAERT had realized the first try to present new products of rural tourism services.
  • 1996 - 2002 Together with National Park Strandja realization of projects for preparation of personnel among the local population for tourist activities. Realisation in a team with BSEN and Education Inspectorate of Ministry of education and science of regional project "Natural resources of our Area".
  • Autumn 1999 realization of the third stage of Green Tourism project, financed by Bourgas Municipality.
  • 1998-1999 realization of 2 contracts with the Ministry of Environment and Water for The Management Plan of Reserved Area "Veleka River mouth" :
    1. Researches for sustainability of tourism near the reserved areas.
    2. Preparation and publishing of brochure "Hospitality of home and community" aiming popular comment of the ideas of sustainable tourism

2000-2002

  • 14.01.2000 with active support of BAERT was established "Zvezdetz-2000 Tourist Society".
  • 25.02.2000 on this date community society "Brodilovo village Brod" was established and on March 04.2000 seminar for rural tourism was held in Brodilovo village.
  • 04.05.2001 in "Tzarsko Kladentche" countryside BAERT with "Brod" Community society, Regional Forestry - Tzarevo and Tzarevo Municipality had organized practical seminar "Natural inheritance and tourism". With this event the educational programme among local population living near reserved areas was started.
  • 22.05.2001 on this date a contact for establishing of the "Center for Sustainable Development of Rural Areas" was signed between BAERT, "Prof./Dr. As.Zlatarov University" and National Advice Agriculture Board..
  • April-October 2001 an educational programme on ecological and rural /sustainable/ tourism was realized by BAERT for the population living in Veleka river area communities.
  • 27.04.2002 on this date "St.Lazar Day" a constituent meeting for Community society "Kosti" was held in Kosti village.
  • 11.05.2002 BAERT Kosti village Community society and other partners had organized practical seminar "Natural Resources and Tourism" with the presentation of the tourist resources near "Silkosia" reserved area, Kosti village area and in Regional Forestry Kosti.
  • 02-04.10.2002 BAERT took part in the National Eco-forum and received a prize for innovation project "From Ahtopol city to Yabalkovo village" /as "From A to Z"/
  • 14.11.2002 BAERT, Tzarevo city Municipality and "Brod" Society from Brodilovo village had organized a seminar in Tzarevo city and had presented "A Programme for development of ecological tourism in Sinemoretz, Brodilovo and Kosti villages"

2003-2006

  • 31.10.2003 Meeting of Community society "Petrova NIva" in Stoilovo village.
  • 20.02.2004 Participation of BAERT in establishing of Consulting Board for Bourgas Mayor. BAERT prepares a proposal for the Development of Tourism in Bourgas Municipality.
  • 09.07, 23.07 and 26.07.2004 Presentation of Programme for development of Tourism at Bourgas Municipality.
  • 05.09.2004 Presentation of Strandja area for British authorities and visit to villages: Mladejko, Evronozovo, Bliznak, Brashlyan, Stoilovo, Gramatikovo, Balgari and Malko Tarnovo city.
  • 07.11.2004 A constituent meeting for Community society "Fakia-ASOS" was held in Fakia village.
  • 12. 02.2005 A constituent meeting for Community society "Vezenkovo" was held in Vezenkovo village.
  • 13.02.2005 in Vezenkovo village /Soungourlare municipality/ the First Regional Meeting 'The Development of Tourism in Eastern Stara Planina Mountain Area" was held.
  • 14.02.2005 Participation in Soungourlare community celebration events for A Wine Grower Day".
  • 09.06.2005 in Elhovo city the regional meeting was held initiated by BAERT and Yambol Regional Tourist Association for encouraging small and middle-sized companies to take part in the development of tourism in the area of Southern border communities within the South-East Planning Unit .
  • 18.07.2005 A constituent meeting for Community society "Indje Voyvoda-1" was held in Indje Voyvoda village.
  • summer 2005 Bulgarian Regional Tourist Chamber team as BAERT members prepares a programme for the Development of Tourism in Sozopol community. .
  • February 2006 "Zelen Turism" /"Green tourism"/ edition - vol.4 was published.
  • 28.02.06 A constituent meeting for Community society "Varshilo-ASOS" was held in Varshilo village.
  • April 2006 "Zelen Turism" /"Green tourism"/ edition - vol.5 was published
  • 04.05.2006 BAERT General Meeting was held in Bourgas.
